Route : Delhi - Meerut - Rishikesh - Tehri - Uttarkashi - Gang Nani - Harsil Uttarkashi, on the way to Gangotri is a small hamlet offering panoramic view of the snow-laden Himalayas. The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi. A number of ashrams provide for accommodation facilities to the visitors.Sat Tal : Sat tal (seven lakes) is a pleasant trek where you rarely find other trekkers on the way; it is abundant with natural beauty. The Nehru Institute of Mountaineering is located in Uttarkashi. It is situated at a spur at Ladari, dominating the beautiful town and overlooking the entire valley.
